Enrichment Programme (for high achievers)
Our enrichment programmes cater specially to high achievers and aim to help your child score As or A*s in the school examinations and ultimately, the Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE). All enrichment programmes are taught by highly-experienced and qualified NIE-trained school teachers in small group settings.
Here is a look at the various enrichment programmes we offer:
Phonics and Reading (K1 - K2)
Learn Phonics and build upon the skill for reading. Phonemic awareness are all the hallmarks of the programme. Students are also taught the short, long, vowels, consonants and diagraphs so as to read words and sentences and get transformed into fluent readers.
Language and Literacy (Primary 1 – Primary 2)
Our Language and Literacy is specifically designed to develop students’ preliminary reading and writing skills. Classroom participation is strongly encouraged, through which students will develop oral confidence by taking part in discussions with peers. The classes will be taught by NIE-trained school teachers in a small group setting.
Writing Prodigy (Primary 3 – Primary 6)
Our Writing Prodigy helps students dip into the well of ideas, tip the ladle and let the words flow smoothly across the page. Students will develop independence, self-awareness and self-evaluation as writers through various writing activities. They will be taught the difficult process of systematic composition writing through mind-mapping activities. Eventually, they will reach the stage of being able to plan, write and revise a piece of writing independently. The classes will be taught by NIE-trained school teachers in a small group setting.
Science Practical (Primary 3 – Primary 6)
Our Science Practical enrichment programme lets your child discover and develop their passion for science. It is an in-depth science program which reinforces theory with practical hands-on experiments. The classes will be taught by NIE-trained school teachers in a small group setting.
Thinking Mathematics (Primary 1 – Primary 6)
Our Thinking Mathematics programme reinforces pre-requisite mathematical computational skills which students need to apply to solve problem sums. It also exposes students to various types of problem-solving strategies. Activities are designed to focus on speed and accuracy, as well as promote math literacy. The enrichment classes will be taught by NIE-trained school teachers in a small group setting.
